Weekend Doodle #10--Distraught

Here are some doodles I did this past weekend. I was trying out various graphite, carbon and charcoal both alone and in combinations for different rendering effects.

The top effect will now serve as my clouds, what a wonderful surprise I found while playing around. Last week I was online and when I got off I unplugged the ethernet as usual when getting off and went off to do whatever it was that I usually do other than internet search.

Well, the next day when I plugged the ethernet back up, now all of a sudden my laptop will not connect to the internet. I played around for hours, bought a new ethernet and still cannot connect. Now I'm distraught.

Usually I scan my postings, but this one was in my large Canson 11x14 sketch book which I reserve for portraits drawings. I took a picture of it, because the scanner bed is too small. Yukkkkkkkkk!

Now the tears fall. HELP if you can, I do not know what else to do. Oh, and by the way the ethernet connection DOES work on the desktop, but of course, yep, you guessed it, all of my goodies are on my laptop :(

Gee Pamyla, I had the exact same problem at work today, with the exception that the motherboard had to be replaced. After that, no internet, but my associate had internet. I kept getting "cannot find IP address". So my associate took my laptop home to her hubby to check out. When I find out the problem, I'll let you know.

Hey Girl,
It was the security key that needed to be typed in. Hope that helps in your situation!
Hope your day goes better!!!

I'm sorry, I'm useless in terms of aiding you with your laptop, I can just hope it get solved stressless!
But I do enjoy your drawings and these doodles are wonderful. As you say, perfect for clouds, those marks are! all of them can be used to great effect in your bigger drawings!

Argh! I have no idea. My associates husband fixed it (cuz he's computer savvy). I'm sorry!!! If I figure it out I'll get back in touch with you.
I know you go to your wireless network connection, but I don't know how to find your security key to type in. Let me know if you figure it out.

Zone alarm? What's that? I've never heard of that one, but I'm glad you've got it working!!!

I can't help with the tech stuff, but in the past in similar circumstanves I have saved the files from my laptop to a memory key (or whatevet they're called) and then loaded on my desktop, or emailed myself files from my laptop and then accessed my email on the desktop. Not long terms solutions alas!

Thanks for visiting my blog and for your kid words this morning!
